WAVELAND -- Mrs. Myrtle Hodgkin, 72, of near Waveland, died Friday in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis after an illness of seven months. She was born Aug. 28, 1897, a daughter of William A. and Pauneeta Williams Stewart. On May 22, 1917 she married Edward F. Hodgkin, who survives. Mrs. Hodgkin was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and had lived near Waveland the past 50 years. Surviving with her husband are six daughters, Miss Martha Hodgkin of Chicago, Mrs. Rosemary Jensen of San Francisco, Mrs. Elizabeth Moneyhun of Indianapolis, Mrs. Natalia Garrison of Carbondale, Ill., Mrs. Patricia Rogerson of Los Angeles and Mrs. Joan Otey of Denver; five sons, Eugene of Atlanta, Charles of Hartford; Conn., Rev. Phillip of Richmond, Joe of Louisville and Russell of Rushville; a brother, Eddie Stewart of Ladoga; two sisters, Mrs. Molly Saylor of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Beatrice Ford of Roachdale, and 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Freedom Baptist Church, with Rev. Allen Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at the Machledt and Servies Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday.--waw
